Family Yoga-Hamilton's First and Finest Family Yoga Program since 2005

A fun way to stretch, strengthen, and relax with your kids ages 7 & up. Highly recommended for children with anxiety, for athletes, and for anyone who wants to spend quality time with their kids. Our yoga classes teach important life skills and develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques will increase your focus, relaxation and self-control. We also promote confidence and self-esteem, and respect and compassion towards oneself and others.

Kids’ Yoga (ages 6-12)

Our classes teach kids essential life skills through play, movement and fun activities. Your children will improve their strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques will increase their focus, relaxation and self-control. Taught by a certified yoga teacher and ECE, our program also promotes confidence and self-esteem, and respect and loving compassion towards oneself and others.

Teen Yoga

Intro to making your own Mala with Jackee

A mala (the Sanskrit name 'garland') is a set of beads traditionally worn and used for meditation. Learn the history of the Mala, explore meditation and be inspired by therapeutics that creating and using your own mala brings.

Infuse your mala with your intentions, mantras or affirmations. Using rudraksha beads from Nepal and gemstones from all over the world. All Mala materials are provided- just bring yourself and a mat.

Heron Creek Yoga Book Group

BOOK: The Illegal by Lawrence Hill  He is doing a talk in Hamilton in October so it might be fun to go to that as a group! : )

This friendly low-key group is open to all. We currently meet on the last Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm.  We would like more members so please send us an email at staff@heroncreek.ca or just show up. We choose books together, discusss, drink tea and visit.  It is lovely. Really, please join us!
