Mark Young

Mark Young is an expert personal trainer with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Mark’s extensive career spans a wide range of fitness and health-related fields, including graduate research in exercise physiology, work in a bariatric medical program, and the preparation of fitness and bodybuilding competitors. His work has been featured in several online and print publications, including Muscle & Fitness, Livestrong.com, and The Hamilton Spectator. He has also made guest appearances on podcasts.


With more than two decades of experience, Mark has conducted thousands of hours of personal training with clients ranging in age from 16 to 90 years old. His unique approach to training is built around simplifying the often confusing and contradictory world of exercise and nutrition. Mark is dedicated to helping clients become stronger, leaner, and healthier by demystifying complex fitness information and making it accessible to everyone.


Rather than opting for punishing workouts, Mark takes a thoughtful, step-by-step approach to exercise. This method not only ensures physical progress but also builds a foundation of knowledge, helping clients exercise safely and confidently. Beyond his professional expertise, Mark is known for his lighthearted personality and love for dad jokes and puns. His sense of humour, combined with his remarkable resiliency and leadership skills, make him a favourite in the gym and on social media.
